James McMurtry has a new album out - called "Just Us Kids".

I've only heard clips from the iTunes store so far, but I figure I'm going to get it. It sounds like it's up to his usual standards, which is darn good.

The funny thing is, with his last album and this one, I've had mixed feelings about recommending them - I can say that listening to some of the songs, I'm sure his opinions on politics and mine don't completely mesh.

But then, neither do my opinions completely match up with a lot of people on here, either. Which means I'm sure that most people on here will really appreciate both the music and the messages in the songs.

And the thing is, even though I don't always agree with the politics of McMurtry or a lot of people on here, as many of you have come to know, we've found that what we often disagree on is the means of achieving the goals, not the goals themselves. So most of the messages in the music do still speak to me too.

But, I really didn't mean for this to get off into a political discussion. Mostly, I think this is music that a lot of people on here would greatly enjoy, both for the music itself and for the messages he sends in the music. So check it out!
