Hope I posted this in the right spot. I just came across this article saying Petes wife Toshi is very il and he had to cancel a show due to it. I have no idea what is wrong but sure how she will get better soon. Prayers & vibes for Toshi and Pete. Article is here:

On the Pete Seeger Appreciation Page Jim Capaldi wrote, "According to recent published reports, Pete’s wife Toshi has been very ill. A good friend of the family emailed me this morning that she is now doing better and should be OK. Please remember Toshi and the Seeger family in your prayers.

I hope Pete will not feel compelled to show up at any concerts dates if he doesn't feel like it right now. Please-- he owes us nothing and we owe him and his family the space for him to be with his family.

Toshi is phenomenal-- a guiding light, an artist in her own right and for some as beloved as Pete. So keep her at the top of your list, even though Pete might request equal position with all who need healing thoughts.

Toshi didn't attend the Beacon Sloop Club meeting last night but Pete said she has been steadily getting better. Tao has done a great job getting his grandpa ready for Carnegie by bringing him on a small tour of the northeast. The schedule is kept in MySpace under his "Tao Rodriguez-Seeger" account. Pete closed out the circle of song at 11pm and still had plenty of energy. kurt...
