i heard this song the other day and was thinking of how i first heard it...back there a few posts i mentioned a couple other of the songs i first heard from someone just singing them before i ever heard them on a record or radio...or tv...this one i first heard from a kid about four years old and his brother who was about a year or two older that i would babysit once in a while back in the old r crumb cartoon like neighbourhood...i mean they sang that song (not to the finish but..) and laughed...i mean, they would belly laugh!

good times...

here is another one also written by hoyt axton i always liked....like to hear it here it goes

great use of the zoom in that clip...reminds me of a local guy's cooking show a while back on one of those local channels,,,guy seemed to love old bay! i watched that show for the sheer entertainment!

i will put this here too!

always loved Hoyt Axton, I remember getting in trouble in the 6th grade for bringing my Steppenwolf album and cranking up Pusher Man (God Damn, the pusher)

kind of like (sort of? maybe different kind of irony?) when i brought that jimi hendrix album (one i borrowed from a friend who was about two and half times my age) to the soul party (not a theme party, but bonified) i'd been invited to. at about the same age...eleven.

i guess we be some crazy white children? :)

And the people around look at you and think you are really aloof, and you are, but not how they think !!

The Chocolate Watchband are good. I remember the Cramps. They were too punk for me. Their lead signer Lux Interior recently died. RIP...
