I don't generally think of fried brains as soft tissue sauteed in a first pressed olive oil, perhaps with garlic and just a splash of lemon or white wine, and of course ... .served with fava beans and Chianti!

I think of fried brains as dead neuronal synapses. Neuronal synapses dried up so that neurotransmitters are rendered incapable of making it over the gap. Thought carries no further. It is an electric pulse which has reached the end of the dendrite. The EEG goes flat...

Cell phones are very dangerous, but it is worse. Take for example yesterday, I was driving for 5 hours and looking at Arlo.net on my Blackberry!

I don't have a cell phone; they seem to have an ill effect on me -- not so much my brain turning to mush as my patience becoming non-existent after about 10 seconds of having to listen to someone on a cell.

Yeah I was never much on them but my mom got one & got a 2nd one of the plan so I could have one & we be able to keep up with each other. Glad I have it as like Terrie says I can do long distance on it. Still have my regular phone. But I'm not one of those to have it on 24/7 like alot of folks do. In fact I've been accused of not having it on often enough lol. Mike has no idea how to use one so when he needs to talk to someone on it, I have to hand it to him & tell him what to do...
