Not that I'm the braggin type. Okay, I'm busted. And not that I would embellish a story. Busted again...

But truth being stranger than fiction. The wife, some of you know her as Sue. She'd be pist, but it's Millie Sue... ( Bob Dylan wrote a song about Millie Sue Brown. But that's a whole nother story, and truth being it's funny, but not flattering ) (That Damn Dylan, worse than Frank Zappa writing the song 'Bobby Brown' off the L.P. Shiek Your Booty.... not so flattering either. What is it with these musicians, they just don't give a guy a break) ????

back to my great news of fortune. My old lady, won a brand new 2009 Chevy Malibu car, with satilite stereo, CD, onstar,,, LOADED MAN> LOADED... at a raffle at her work place, a couple days ago..

we'll be headed to the windy city to visit our little grandaugher and kids, in early July. Derek's Birthday... He tried to be a Guthrie... ha ha

SOMEBODY PINCH ME

NO SHIT

RB

didn't think our luck would ever change. seriously thinking bout a fall venture to, Colorado... Yeah, there's a lady there, called Wlydflower, & we owe her a visit....

TX in advance. As friends, I know you'll all be very happy for me wife....

Take me ridin in the car in the car
Take me ridin in the car

So very cool! You will be stylin' to Chicago!

But I agree; check the income tax burden; find out what your income tax percentage is; you will owe that percentage of the fair market value of the car, come tax time next year. It's early enough in the year to decide what to do. You may want to keep it and otherwise save the money for the taxes, or keep it until near the end of the year, then sell it to recoup the taxes and be left with a nice little bundle, or sell another car to get the tax money ... whatever. Just don't be blindsided a year from now by taxes you didn't know you would owe.

(My dad was an IRS agent for 30+ years, and he warned us about this--one of his colleagues, who should have known about it, got hammered and lost everything because his wife won a bunch of stuff in a 1950s TV show, and they didn't have the money to pay the taxes.)

Congrats! That's so cool! I used to win radio contests but nothing like a car. I remember the 'Bobby Brown' song of Zappa's & that album. It was popular when I was in high school. One day a bunch of us kids were sitting around listening to it on a record player after school and my dad came to pick me up & heard it. He said "You kids shouldn't be listening to that song. It's about a gay guy." We were all like but that's Frank Zappa. He said he didn't care it was an offensive song. LOL. I haven't heard it since the 70's...

Tx for all the congrats. Not too worried about taxes. I have #3 theory's.

with that said, even if 2 outta 3 aint bad

First off, we (Sue) was told, that we would be responcible for the sales tax.... (I'm guessing 20+K)(might be less just say for ex.)

The representative came to her workplace, and told her, to make it easier, and a more lets say cherry event, THEY would cover the sales tax.

#2. I have a judement against me, from back child support from my first wife to the tune of 14.5K

**** Sue won the car not me. & even if they did that, she's your wife she's responcible for you creditors, I'm 100% dissabled according to my attorney, two reputable Drs. and a Social Security Judge..... So they, by law in NY state, cannot or are not supposed to mess with my income...

#3. My wife is Native American as most of you know. According to the Akwawsausne Indian Reservation, just down the road, the Mohawk Tribe, explained to my wife's family. If, BOTH your Grandparents, and ONE biological parents were 100% Mohawk Indian, you are considerd full blood..... Sue's Mom was Irish.... But her Dad and both his parents were 100% Mohawk Indian. Sue is registered at the Reservation, as full blood, and has a tax exempt card.... this is where it, just lat mnth. got messy.

#### The new Governor of NY state.... Mr. Patterson.... ( is this starting to sound like Alice's Restaraunt in 4 part harmony)??? The BLIND Govenor, just passed a bill in NY state, that has the Indians on the Reservation paying sales tax... For the first time, EVER!!! Last time Gov. George Pataki tried to sell that package, the Indians revolted, burned piles of rubber tires on Route #37 so NO ONE could enter the REZ... Two State Troopers were murdered, and one Indian got killed. A scape goat, for the then newly Goveneur Pataki... Revenge I call it... So the Indians appeeled (sp ck) and WON.....

This last time around, they didn't protest..... In my heart of hearts, I thank our new President Barrack Obama, for this peace keeping mission on behalf of the Mohawks. I'm guessing they're opting for change, and bottom line is, they don't want the violence, and killing, that happend in the early 90's.... SPECULATION on RB's part.... But some educated minds agree with me... BTW: This is a good, valid arguement, keeping it freindly. If you dissagree, please do so.....

 LAST but not least, the Blind Govenor I was talkin bout. Patterson... Altho I like the guy, find him to be an excellant speaker. A very educated, and positive man... (e.p. that slaughter that took place in Binginton NY, where the VietNamese guy, went rambo, and murderd 14 people badly injuring 4, then capping his own ass) Patterson, spoke very eloquently for the City of Bimington ( sp ck X 2)..... He spoke volumes, stating the City, the state, 49 other states, and the world at large, please have a moment of silence. It was one of the best speeches, of encouragement, in the face of dissaster, I've ever heard... And I'm 52 yrs. old. I've heard allot of em.....

NTM: this great Blind Governor Patterson ( no dissrespect for the man) has passed new laws. He takes spouses $$$ that's owed to the Govt.. One way or another. So believe it or not, Sue has to couph up her income tax each yr. to pay for my back child support. ntm: He deleted the Star Program here in NY state, so they took that as well....

I was worried at first.(about the new car coming back to haunt us) But the same day, we got a letter saying Child Support was taking Sue's income tax, for her husbands over due $$$'s owed... I don't feel bad, nor does Sue, as in 5 - 8 yr... The Gods willing we live that long, it'll finally be paid in full...... Something I've alway felt stupid about... Paying my child support in CASH instead of by queque.....

" Heard of a guy named rambling Rob, he used to steal, borrow and rob, he played out every bar in town. Rob spent all his money, no it's not so funny, now he's payin the price now... He's in the jailhouse now, he's in the jailhouse now. I told him once or twice, quit throwing them damn dice, start treating people nice. He's in the jailhouse now....

 8)

My Ozzy friend Slim Pickens told me "Rob the Gods are smiling down at you" !!!!!! I can't help but trust in Slim. He's a fine mate, and things always get worse, before they get better...

A friend in need, is a friend indeed

RB

Peace, Love, & All That Jazz ( Mr. Leon Russell )

BTW: Tx Cheryl Harrell, about the Zappa song. Yeah, I told this to some blunderites online, a long time ago. 1997. I wasn't braggin, just stating facts....

I've led an interesting life. & I'm not ashamed of ANY of it... Oh I've done some stupid shit. But nothing like in that song... Haven't heard that song in a long time. I lent it to a friend, who never returned it...

Beware of Greeks bearing gifts so they say..... But I can actually say, I've done it all... In my hay day..... Things were crazy. Sex was wierd, to say the least. Drugs were rampant, girls were wild. Cocaine for example, will have you doing things you . Well you get the point.

I'm just glad, and happy, that I've been happily married to the same women for 23 yrs... We've been together for 25..... Sue saw my wild side, and lets just say she tamed me.... TX to the Gods she did..... So much bad stuff started happening after that period in my life... Things like Aids.... People O.D. dropping dead....

I'm a survivor.... I have no shame, no guilt. For the record, I am a changed person. I believe in God, not religion. I believe in love. I believe in fate. Life is not fare. If anyone ever tells you it is, they are lying...

I'm just glad to be here, and survived the madness. If people cannot love me, for who I am. I need them not. I don't have allot of friends, nor do I want a caraband, of friends. People that actually know me, love me... For the most part. I learned in 1991, not everyone is going to like you. I enjoy this site. Arlonet. This website, I do not feel judged. My past is my past. Nothing can change that....

Just a reminder. I am a changed person. So Larry F. Next time I see you, don't think I'm starring at you arsh... ral.....

1969 - 1982.... Those were some wierd freaking times. When I was 12, I was hanging with 16 yr olds. When I was 16, I was hangin out with 21 yr olds, and people old enough to be my folks.

I have no regrets. Yet I'm glad, I'm living in today......

Enough need to know...

If your not crazy when your born into this world, you'll be crazy when you leave. Just hope it's a happy crazy!!!

Yours Truly/Rb :?

Told you Frank Zappa wrote a song about me.

Why Frank would be jealous of me, I have no idea

I just wanted to tell you that I won a car once, too. More accurately I won a contest and the prize was a BMW 530i to drive for 2 years - all expenses paid!! I got to pick out the color and trim, and i had an allowance for certain packages. When all was said and done, it was a pretty cool car, and very fast. It was a thrill to drive, too.

But the BEST part was when people would comment on it. Total strangers would say, "NICE CAR!!" Then i would get to say, "I won it!!!" The reaction was always the same !! They go crazy. This one guy was working at a security gate when I drove up . He said," I love your car." And I said, "and it was free" and he said " No , wait! Free?" and I said , "Yes, all expense paid for 2 years", and he said, " you are kidding me , right?" and I said ," No, really , I won a contest at work."

He started yelling and jumping up and down, " She won that CAR. She WON that car, SHE won that car. I could still hear him exclaiming, " She won that car" as I drove off. I had a huge smile on my face. It was a happy story to share. Just to see their faces light up! :D

You will know what I mean, rb - that is a charge every time!!

WooHoo!!! Congrats Sue (and Rob!) I'm looking forward to seeing the new car when you come visit me in CO. (just don't let young Rob borrow it... we know what he does to borrowed cars!)

Miss you, love you!
