The average I suggested was just applying a basic noise filter to time so comparing 1974 to 2009..35 years...relatively no time at all compared to the human presence on this planet. So a 10 year pursuit is just a drop in the old bucket!

Ah. Recursive dimensions: every slice is as big as the entire strip. Time just keeps it all from happening all at once to our point of view. To other celestials, that is precisely what it does. But not noise; light limits time by enforcing locale and locale is not a coordinate but the address of a viewpoint in motion. Everything we think of as time is the relative motion of observers. Space isn't real. Consciousness is.

But I look at time in intervals..sampling intervals..you see, every so often I sample (the most common interval I use is 10 minutes but my analysis can spread to hours, fractions of days and days and for slow-growing organisms like TB even weeks)…even my most rapid sampling intervals are drawn out compared to those electron jockeys who measure time in Hertz…measurable life is rarely in the hertz range….of course the quality of the sample varies with the measurement system…often affected by temperature or electrical inconsistency…so often to improve my measurement consistency I filter the signal to homogenize the noise…I have tried various techniques but quite honestly just taking an average is the best…it is just one of those peculiarities of how I entertain myself in life I suppose because I actually like analyzing reality in slices of time and haey…if you get a pay check…all the better huh!

Not all. Just riffing on other madness. Frequency and amplitude are key but time slicing has other dimensions to it. Sequencing, sampling, library building.

The human brain communications ecology from what I read is a two-layer system. The forebrain is a planner and the old brain is a parallel processing system for fight or flight or just pattern selector. The forebrain programs the old brain with frequency and amplitude of signal or token. It is a Skinner Box in that respect. The cognitive aspects are in the signals it selects and modifies. The system is self-selecting and self-adapting because the old brain is not a passive storage unit. It is similar to what a Google search engine does with its choice of choices selectors. It present sets and the user make selections from pre-associated rows. It acts that way because of neural aggregation, that is, it is analog synaptic firing. Patterns are acquired as a result of feedback from within the body and its sensors.

It's imprint pattern or behavioral repetoire acquistion is by rewards and stimuli within a control regime where that control is the system itself. The curious fun is that Google is learning by our selections and it is giving us back guesses which we vote for by selecting or ignore or don't search for. Symbiotically, it becomes us and we what it feedsback which is the aggregate votes of the web. It's both a conversation and transformation of the human mind and on down to our DNA.
