Wow! Some of us took the brown acid in the sixties, eh? First of all, it's "Ouija" board. Secondly, I only have four, not six hundred and sixty-six: one from the 60's or 70's, one that's a key chain, one that a friend made with an arcane alphabet and one that glows in the dark. When I told a friend about the last one she asked, "Is it supposed to do that?"

Speaking of the Bizarro Planet, members of Middletown, CT's "Food Not Bombs" anti-war/anti-hunger group were cited & ticketed by the police Sunday for distributing food to the public without a license. They were also issued a cease & desist order by the city "... to protect the public health." Yep! Let 'em starve, but they'll starve healthy!

I don't know if that's really the case, Agnes. This group's been around for a while and, as some body else said, if they're concerned enough to feed the hungry then they probably wouldn't be feeding them garbage. They're volunteers, a lot of them Wesleyan University students, so one would think they'd have better judgement than that.

One thing that crossed my mind is that, when I was a kid in my old hometown, you'd occasionally see some homeless guy going through restaurant trash bins. It's just possible that some folks in a similar situation were seen hanging out with the Food Not Bombs folks and mistaken as some of their volunteers. Folks with suspicious minds are sometimes quick to jump to conclusions.
