Ya'll. Life takes it's many twist and turns, and mine sure has been chaotic, to say the very least. Don't know if any of the newer blunderites, have read most all the old RBR's. But to use an anology, there's one that has a piece where the folkslinger and Mrs. G. got to a pt. in they're lives, whether to get divorced or not. This is all from memory, as my RBR's are in storage at present. But when Arlo tells it, he had a German ( grandmother.... mom in law ) ( research the real deal, as I'm sure I'm blowing this bad on fact)

But to cut to the chase, they were lucky enough to have a family member chip in, and say, hasinfeifer, hied ley hudenburg. ya know, you a two been thru thick and thin and this shouldn't be happening ect...

So memory tells me, they decided to make things work...

Well I'm sorta outta familly members at this late stage in my life. My Mom woulda been a good one to convince my wife (sue) that 25 yrs (sept 21st 2009) is way too many yrs. to throw in the towel. Get a break from each other. Go on a trip, ANYTHING, but you kids please don't blow it, on egos, that get in the way. infedelitys, can be worked on. It's not the end of the world.. ect...

So, as I sit here writing this, gone, but I didn't forget you thing. Sue and I are working on things. Our trip to the windy city, was supposed to be the catylst to us reuniting, and rekindling our marriage. It didn't work, back to square one. But we're headed for the second round, and I believe it's gonna work this time.

We're no good without each other. Without me, Sue's just 1/2 a person, and without her, I'm just 1/2 of me. It's the two of us, combined in this union, that make us who we are. To those of you that have met us at the Church, I'm the butt-head, with the level headed great looking Indian bride.... But most folks will vouch for me, and I'm just a peace loving, story telling guy, whose maybe stuck in the 70's. But with that said, my wife Sue is a very intence, intelligent person, who I dearly love, & sure wouldn't wanna lose. So we're working on things, and I think it's gonna work this time around.

But if any of you, would like to extend blunder-power. Prayers, just nice thoughts, and spiritual vibes, that we can work this thing out...

FAR-OUT!!! WE appreciate all you've done for us over the yrs. your friendship, gifts, the unconditional love, that only family like you here at arlo.net can provide. Ya'll know who you are. There's not a day goes by, that I don't think about you, thru the good, and the sad. I'm there for you 100%, even when I'm not here. I'm there.

Thank you all, for your support, over the yrs. Life is so short. Time to be kind. and just. be nice to me & each other. ( Love is only love, it makes the world go round. Love is only love, & it can't be denied. No matter what you think about it, there aint nothing you can do without it, take a tip from one who tried) 'Bobby Dylan'

A devouted friend and fan/ RB

No, never forgotten. All the best to the two of you. Keep working on it.
So many times I wish I had my mom here for advice but as she would say:
God sends the worms to dicky birds
From which they take their sup
But sure they have to peck for them
For He don't dig 'em up.

I really miss her...

You know you're both getting the best Blundervibes that love can send, from all over. Hang in there. We NEED to see both of you in October. So just do it for us, OK? ;-)

Love and strength to you both.

That's hard, rob. We did our patch years ago and it keeps bubbling up. It won't kill you but it won't go away so a commitment to stay together is a commitment to a no-pain protocol. That means, let it go. Not the past. It's done. Let the opportunity to recut the wound pass. You can only change tomorrow today by not pretexting tomorrow's topics. The danger is, make it all a head game, a conversation game, a gameable game, and it gets twisted.

Pushing a knot unties it. Pulling it tightens it. Learn to feel the moment just before anger rises and push it away instead of pulling it toward you regardless of which of you is angry. Anger is addictive. Rage is addictive. We spin it up with repetitive gestures, invocations of memories to prove points or express the emotions. By kind, they push and pull other acts into or out of the center of you attention where your choices are made.

Love is a game of many acts. If you want to make love to a woman at night, you must make love to her all day.

You have all the vibes I can send!

As long as you are friends, have respect for each other and a lot of humor this can be gotten through.

We don't spend our lives never having been mad or upset with other various family members..brothers, Sisters, Fathers, Mothers. Same holds true for spouses. If you always got along, there would be no individuality. You see a person and think "Wow that person is a lot like me...I bet we would get along well" Suddenly, your faced with yourself. It's not always fun when you know you have demons and they must as well. You face them knowing the other person will always be there...good or bad.

Deep fractures are tough no doubt, but they can be filled. It takes time and while it will never be the same as it was (and it was pretty damn good) it can become something better than you thought possible. It's because you know so much more than you did then. People say let the past go. I say leave it behind, but take from it. You don't want to be there again, right? Take what was learned and don't let it get in the way again..you know?

When you know in your heart that you ARE strong enough to weather this and you know it's worth being saved, there is only one way to go

UP !

Wishing you both the very best life has to offer!

(Hope it made sense..it's very early in the AM and I'm on meds for dental pain :| sorry if it was a bit disjointed )

I'd like to take the time to thank everyone that posted, good wishes, prayers, and great vibes. They must be working cause Sue and I are talking things thru. My friends tease me, as Sue says I shoulda been a Dr. like my brother Tom. Sue says I have an unusual great bedside mannor.... ( e.p. get your minds outta the gutter now... she has been feeling a lil under the weather, and you'd be suprized how a blanket, some chicken soup and running to the store at 1 a.m. for tylelonal and Ginger ale, will do... Something our Mom's used to do, even when we were older, my late Mom and Late mother - law were both retired nurses, but being the big baby I am, I'd call my Mom and she'd bring me chicken soup. OR, tell me if I should stay home or go to the E.R. So Sue and I have each other for that now.

I believe your blunder prayers, thoughts, and just all around good and sincere vibes, have floated thru the airwave, thru the wind that lays at our ft. and blessed Sue and I with that unconditonal love, we just seemed to be lacking for 1/2 a yr. Oh we have allot of work but as Neil Young penned in a song...

"The Bridge we're building now
It may take allot of time
But it made me love you
Oh baby, oh baby
It made me love you

And Love can running down like
A river upon your skin
And you let me in
Oh baby, You let me in

The Bridge we're buildin now
It may take allot of time
But it made you love me/ oo-hh baby!

Thank you all so much for caring and the sentimental thoughts you sent our way. It will never go un-appreciated. There's a vibe in that old Trinity Church in Great Barrington, that goes way beyond Alice. And that for one of love, hope, fear, and knowing, that whatever doesn't kill you, will make you stronger... I owe my dues, and Friday I'm gonna call the cnt. make good, and God-willing Millie Sue and I will both be there in the Fall. Friends like ya'll come once and a lifetime. ntm: I could sure use an Arlo Fix. I really miss hearing the folksinger play and sing his music. If I could just hear 'Ocean Crossing' Or when I get to the Border, or 'Put your arm around me honey like circle round the sun...' it would be a great catylist to the healing process....

Arlo Folks. As I'm sure you know, is like no other man. Very dear to the heart. I'm sure you can relate. I really don't think I'm ever any happier than when Sue and I are in that old building, listening to Arlo, visiting friends, saying "hello Abraham and hi Mrs. G" and the iciing on the cake, is seein all the friends, that are do dear in Sue and my heart....

Summer can take it's sweet time. Cya in October.... I mighte be the quiet Rob. I've been thru allot... But just for the warning Sue and Judy B. and the rest. I'm bringing my guitar.... Hope to be there early for thrusday nite hoot.... I have a song, I'd like to dedicate to my number one fan..... Mrs. Deb LaFitz...... I just hope I don't get weak in the knees..

Audious Amigos and THANK YOU SO MUCH.... Your in our prayers

God-Bless/ RB

Hang in there; I'm a little late, but sending vibes to the both of you. You're doing what you need to; talking to each other in a non-judgemental way and keeping communications open is the best way to heal and get back to the love you share. Hugs! sue
