Thanks for posting the vid & the article. I was flipping dials on the tv the other day & came across Whoopi Goldberg talking about going to Marys service. Evidently she must be a folkie too...

It is a wonderful video, except now I want to see all the other tribute videos. Sounds like it was a very memorable memorial service.

The photo of Peter and Paul singing without her is hard to look at. :(

I'm not sure where to put this, but it's a great video showing how some folk songs make it around the world -- Renee Fleming, Joan Baez, Suzanne Vega and Lou Reed singing "Oh Freedom" in Prague (followed by a few speeches):

No cows were harmed making this video.

Folk music or folk musicians sometimes blow it by being too serious for too long. William Fletcher told me a funny story about Annie Burns. At a party one night after a 30 minute long everybodySings version of Will The Circle Be Unbroken, an awkward silence followed. Then Annie broke it with, "Ba ba ba ba barbara ann".

Perfect.

The video is adorable, Len. Except the very end. Poor cows.

Even cows cannot escape their karma. Burger, boots or bar-b-que.
