Is anyone planning on attending this show? I just bought my tickets and it was a real PIA! Ticketmaster didn't have April 3 listed after January, rather this show was listed in the middle of the December list. Therefore, I didn't see it until yesterday and by then all the high-end tix were gone!

I finally ordered my tix today and the whole process of dealing with TM online is pathetic.

Thank goodness I have tickets, though... so I'm not complaining... just a heads up to anyone planning on buying tix for this particular venue.

See you soon, Arlo... another wonderful birthday present!

Terrie - I apologize I don' t know this, I am assuming.... your birthday is close to the day of this show?

I ask because awhile back on arlo.net, we talked about how many of us choose to celebrate their birthdays, if possible , by attending an Arlo Guthrie concert!! It fascinated me.. To me, it speaks volumes to how Arlo Guthrie help define the thinking man's music-infused brain, and worked thru the war era where we lived. I came to identify with that music and philosophy, and experienced much personal growth at that time.

so what better way to celebrate a birthday ?

well except now it's thinking persons...... :)

Hi, MG. I remember the thread you refer to. It occurred to me awhile ago that rather than throw darts at a dartboard as Arlo once claimed he did to plan his tour routes, I think he plans them around our birthdays.

He'll be in TX in time for Shelley's and Albuquerque for mine, April 8th. Happens every year, just like clockwork. When I was back east, I would see him in March or April... and now he's here! Coincidence?

...and the May Guthrie Center shows are usually within a week of my birthday. Great timing!

... You're right, Terrie! And the Fall GC shows are always around Jay's and John's and Deb's and Mark's and Deb's and various other birthdays. And Carnegie's always right before Ken's birthday. It's miraculous. Or intentional. Or totally random. Whatever ... it IS great fun to see Arlo on or near your birthday. That I can attest. But then, it's also fun when it's not around your birthday, too. :D

BlunderBirthdays! Yea! and Yay!

'Scuse me. It's past time for bed, after a long and difficult week.
