Arlo and family played in Asheville. NC March 3rd and 4th....He arrived in one of our recent mountain snow storms...we had 9" that day.

What a treat to see 4 generations (by my count) of Guthries playing, dancing and singing....from ages 4 to 63...and all that's in-between. I was moved to tears several times trying to take in the meaning of what this tour means and will mean in the future for the Guthrie Family Legacy. What an experience to spend a year on tour with your grandfather singing the songs of his father...

I always hope when I go to one of Arlo's concerts that the people sitting next to me don't mind my humming and singing...because I sing along with Arlo often...and I got to sing along LOTS at this show...it was wonderful... When I left the theater I felt as if I had spent an evening with the Guthrie Family singing and laughing and listening to stories.

Thanks to Annie, Krishna, Mo, Jacklyn, Serena, Abe, Marjorie, Cathy, Arlo, Olivia, Johnny, Sophia, Sarah Lee, jackie and Johnny Allaveri (sp?) from a long time fan.

Well I almost got Terry's name right....THANKS! Arlo sang one of Terry's songs...very funny....no - sorry I don't remember the name....IMHO it was about not taking ourselves too seriously...just my pov....

Anyway...thanks for helping me with Terry's last name...

I brought my 22 year old son to the show and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well. He subsequently downloaded a few Arlo tunes off iTunes that night. I was also fortunate to meet Arlo, Jackie, Annie, Johnny Irion and one of the kids at the hotel they were staying at. (We were staying there too.) I noticed that most of us in the audience were "geezers"...we need to "turn on" the younger generation to this timeless music. My son had no clue that Woody Guthrie composed "This Land is Your Land."

That is so cool that you got to see him and meet him. I know you had a great time. Welcome to the site...
