and thought I was so hip and with-it, the Big Kahuna of innerwebz surfing,
but it never occured to me that there was an Arlo forum, much less one
he would post on ...

Woody was a big part of my daddy's life & growing up, and he really dug Arlo;
Woody, Arlo, Pete Seeger & Bob Dylan have been very important to me ...
when daddy & I get together to pick guitars, we still sing "Let's go riding in the car, car ..."

glad the little hipster girl gave me directions (half-mile from the RR track, around the back, just walk right in, &etc)
the site itself looks great, as do the forums ... I looked around, but didn't find an "introduction" thread or forum;

I'm JD "Doc" Darlin, from Tom Green County, Texas; I'm 42, unmarried, no kids, 5'11'', red hair, green eyes, I enjoy cuddling and long walks on the beach ...

in my spare time I farm, tend to a semi-tamed herd of whitetail deer, protest social injustices, and do Living History encampments of the Civil War period;
my favorite color is gray, and I like gravy ...

Although I haven't looked at them, the archives are probably amazing. It was definitely amazing while it was happening. Just like it continues to be now.

Welcome!

Hi to all from another "newbie"
I can sure relate to what Doc is sayin about stumbling into a place on account of a youngster ...
I would not be online, nor would I be able to use my cell phone if it weren't for teenagers
I'm here because I'm into all things FOLK and love the Guthrie family and all Woody brought to the world in his short time visiting
My fav things to listen to besides ANY Woody or Arlo song are the kid songs like "car , car" and
"way down yonder in the minor key.... "

Welcome to anyone newer than me and let's chat !

Cass
