Hey,

I think I posted on the old forum once or twice, but this is my first time posting on this forum, so it's been awhile. It just seems like everytime I want to join in the conversation here, somebody's already said what I was going to say. Not a complaint; just an observation. Talkative bunch.

Anyhew, Have you folks heard this:

http://www.mp3ye.eu/361252_arlo-guthrie ... nload.html

It's Arlo, Donovan (of whom I'm also a big fan), and Hans Theessink doing Columbus Stockade Blues. Very nice!

It's from a CD entitled, "Banjoman: A Tribute to Derroll Adams" and Arlo, Donovan, and Hans do some other songs and collaborations on it as well.

Does anyone here know if Arlo and Donovan have worked together at any other time? It seems to me that there's a lot of overlap in both their musical and their spiritual sensibilities.

I believe there is a video of him singing with Donovan on YouTube. I think Arlo has done some shows with him as well.

Cheryl, I wasn't able to locate the youtube video. I did find a file online purporting to be a concert the two of them did together in Vienna, but the sites it's offered on seem a little sketchy and I'm hesitant to download it for fear of harming my computer.

I tried to find it on YouTube and couldn't find it either. I think what they were singing was a Derrol Adams song. I think they were sitting around singing it. It may have been in a recording studio maybe. It was a good one tho. Sorry I couldn't find it.

It's not a concert. It is a studio video. It is great. The link has been posted here before.

Edited to say: You are right Cheryl, it is on the Derroll Adams tribute album.

Thank you Wyldflower, nice video! And thank you to everyone else that was searching the memory banks for the whereabouts of this little archival piece. I'd never heard of Hans Theesink until recently. I remember reading about Derroll Adams in Hurdy Gurdy Man but hadn't heard any of his music until recently either. Two "new" musicians for me to check out! I just put Banjoman on hold at my local library yesterday.
