Its sad, but it only says that Congress shall make no law regarding religion.

I think that says a lot. Yes, folks are arguing about what that means, but what kind of law(s) would you like them to make regarding religion? Any legislation would restrict individual rights. Remember, Democracy is a very misunderstood concept in that it is about way more than "majority rules." The true spirit of Democracy seeks to protect the minority(s) (each and every one!) from the imposition of majority control. Pure Democracy in theory provides for the disinfranchized (those lacking a loud enough voice, or social capital) to retain their so-called inalienable rights, even in the face of overwhelming majority opposition, discrimination and oppression. Key word here: in theory.............

but all i got at the moment...thought i would sort of interject... found this, seems to have some interesting stuff on it anyway

well i suppose i was wondering how to have good affordable healthcare available...by somehow dealing with the rampant corporate greed? lately i have been listening to people, (even doctors, boy i must know some 'strange' people!) and now that i have the terms straight in my head (single payer vs public option,,,i knew there were two different things but i didn't have the terminology straight in my head (silly me, sorry about that!), i mean sometimes the terms national or universal healthcare would be the terms i would hear and that is the thing i was thinking of) but anyway a lot of people seem to lean toward the single payer idea as a way to deal with that problem (the ridiculously high costs, etc). i have wondered about it for a long time but was pretty lost in the confusion (which i think may be there on purpose...to confuse?)

When they talk of single payer or even a public option...many people still seem ton think that we are talking about free Healthcare. Nobody I talk to is talking about free HC, but if for the poor would b fine with me. Vermont just passed a single payer plan which other States may yet follow. If Govt. can promote the general welfare...we should have affordable HC. We shouldn't be ranked 37th in the World as this video says.

I used to think that but now I don't! purposeful confusion assumes premeditation...I think it is to confusing for such a conspiracy! for premeditation would require a logic stream or some kind of order. but there is nothing but mixed up confusion!

I think we can probably find experts that will all disagree!

AH! :) well,,,okay, alright......i know that sometimes people say things, express ideas, that can be confusing for some reason or other, but i don't believe it is the aim. but i am also pretty sure i have witnessed on purpose confusion generated, it can be pretty impressive! well, maybe impressive is not the word i want to use....maybe pretty astonishing! or pretty much (with matters as important as this) a pain in the ass! well, maybe a little bit of each of all the above ...but i ain't no expert!

i will give what you said some thought. my aim was not to make that the heavy point of that post, perhaps a little frustration was showing, and not about the terminology thing i mentioned, that was just me, but about the whole entire mess that it seems to be.

i know there are people who would disagree on the subject, but as to who the experts on the subject are, i don't know

thanks for the clip leo, i will get it watched. i remember hearing on a radio show how badly we placed on a similar list.

It is only natural. In fact, it has become an art! The generation of on purpose confusion. People make millions of dollars being confused for all to see. And, it is not necessarily an American phenomena. It has been going on for centuries. That's why I love mankind!

Professional confusion goes beyond just healthcare! Did you know that it is a commonly held belief that it is UNAmerican for the rich to be taxed! No Shit! If you tax them they wont create jobs. confusion? Fickle bastards, they love America as long as they dont have to pay for it?

I wonder sometimes if the GOP really believe what they say. Why can't we get back to the days of Ike, when taxes on the rich were much higher?

Further evidence that we need to "just say no" to the GOP, especially on social issues:

Unfortunately, Stearns is my Congessman; he's got his head up his ass as usual here.

Why don’t I get to go
To the party that I paid for
Why can’t I go
To the party I paid for

The newsman said the civil servants
Dined on fine horderves
One hundred and forty two millions worth of service
I don’t want to appear ungrateful
For the government that that bought me
But I’ve no invitation
And I’m getting nervous

Why don’t I get to go
To the party that I paid for
Why can’t I go
To the party I paid for

The woman at the bar said the drinks were cheap
But the conversation was expensive
So I bought another round for the table
When she left with the brass
The waitress scoffed and asked me what the sense is
In buying another chance
To peel the label

Why don’t I get to go
To the party that I paid for
Why can’t I go
To the party I paid for

If we cut their taxes they’ll take the money
And sell us cars from Korea
If they give us healthcare
We’ll all go on the dole
Do you think it’s time we all wised up
And started paying ourselves
To make the stuff we need
To keep us whole?

Why don’t I get to go
To the party that I paid for
Why can’t I go
To the party I paid for

Progressives and Conservatives
All vie for our attention
They make up things for us to want
To keep themselves in power
I guess there’s got to be them types
That likes controlling money
But it seems the only money they spend is ours,
