I've said nothing of that sort mister. I mentioned the Bank of The Post Office here in Belgium, as part of the way we could compete with the Fed

Jafo, The Great depression was a Failure of Capitalism!

(FULL OF SHIT, FULL OF SHIT)

Jafo I think we have a problem (looking in the dictionary)

Sorry Jafo, Capitalism and Capitalist are two different words.

According to Merrium Webster

Capitalism: an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market

and Capitalist has two definitions (interesting):a person who has capital especially invested in business; broadly : a person of wealth : plutocrat
2
: a person who favors capitalism

Oh wait Capitalist can be a noun and an adjective (that is certainly interesting)

Here is a sentence:

A capitalist (noun) is a person who favors a capitalist (adjective) economy.

Wow, this is confusing isn't Jafo?

Oooo another word

Context (I wonder what that could mean???) : the parts of a discourse that surround a word or passage and can throw light on its meaning

Jafo, this could seriously hurt your full of shit defense!

I know Iknow....Maybe that Merriam Webster has been inhabited by a proletariat demon and all her definitions now favor socialism!

But you are blaming one and explicitly not the other, then both, so what's your point? That is what Websters calls "talking out both sides of your ass." Shall we look AGAIN?:

^^ Here you blame the capitalists (but not capitalism).

OOOO I got it, a system can't fail.. HHMMMm

Uh oh Jafo, I am concerned here about a possible failure in your magical logic! Look at this:

[This article was published in 1991 in the journal, "Industrial Crisis Quarterly", Vol. 5, 131-154.]
Human Factors in Large-Scale Technological Systems' Accidents:

Three Mile Island, Bhopal, Chernobyl

Najmedin Meshkati

Institute of Safety and Systems Management

University of Southern California

Los Angeles, California 90089-0021

Abstract

Key Words (Bibliographic Entry): Industrial Accidents, Safety, Nuclear Power Plants, Chemical Processing Plants, Human Error, Human Factors, Three Mile Island, Bhopal, Chernobyl.

Many serious large-scale technological systems' accidents, having grave consequences, such as those of Three Mile Island (TMI), Bhopal, and Chernobyl, have primarily been attributed to `operator error.' However, further investigation has revealed that a good majority of these incidents are caused by a combination of many factors whose roots can be found in the lack of human factors (micro- and macroergonomics) considerations. Relevant human factors considerations, the causes of human error, and commonalities of human factors problems in major disasters are briefly reviewed. It is concluded that system accidents are caused by the way the (system) parts -- engineered and human -- fit together and interact. Also, on many occasions, the error and the resultant failures are both the attribute and effect of such factors as complicated operational processes, ineffective training, non-responsive managerial systems, non-adaptive organizational designs, haphazard response systems, and sudden environmental disturbances, rather than being their cause. Recommendations for prevention of such accidents are provided.

I. Introduction

"The root cause of the Chernobyl accident, it is concluded, is to be found in the so-called human element....The lessons drawn from the Chernobyl accident are valuable for all reactor types."

Summary Report on the Post-Accident Review Meeting on the Chernobyl Accident (1986, p. 76).

A common characteristic of many high-risk, large-scale technological systems, such as nuclear power plants and chemical processing installations is the large amounts of potentially hazardous materials that are concentrated in single sites and under the centralized control of few operators. Catastrophic breakdowns of these systems pose serious threats not only for those within the plant, but also for the neighboring public, and even the whole region and the country. Attesting is the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Soviet Union in 1986. Chernobyl demonstrated, for the first time, that the effects of any such nuclear accident would not be localized, but rather would spill over into neighboring countries and have global consequences. The radioactive fallout resulting from Chernobyl was detected all over the world, from Finland to South Africa. Specifically, the Europeans, in addition to serious health concerns, have had to deal with significant economic losses and serious, long-lasting environmental consequences. This phenomenon has been described most succinctly as a nuclear accident anywhere is a nuclear accident everywhere.

It looks like they are describing the failures of systems.

Oh god, this is devastating to your full of shit defense!

Sure, systems can fail; socialism fails daily. However, the Great Depression was not a failure of Capitalism! Half the time you agree with that, until your other personality comes out and disagrees.

For what its worth, and its not worth nothing to Jafo, instead of paying double the price from an online for profit site, I got mine for half the price at The Post Office. Lots and lots of people are getting out of the Banks and heading towards Credit Unions. Our Cities, States Towns need to find new ways to fund things. Maybe some could privatize education, though Ron Paul offers, lets get DC out of it, maybe by privatizing, or maybe by localizing. I lean towards localizing for do not want to have to pay a toll at every red light. Oh what if Local Schools were turned into Cooperatives, which the Teachers and Towns made their own decisions on? I'll stick with thinking outside of the box.

You're right. Putting a gun to the heads of citizens to pay for half your postage is not something I would want.

In your head maybe. For every 25 banks, you may have one credit union. Yeah, that's a stampede..

You're line of thinking will end you up in a cardboard box begging for change..

The Post Office has not received one dime from the Govt. since the 80s.

So you just want to privatize schools, without letting the Towns decide?

Does the post office pay taxes? Does USPS pay taxes? When you answer those two questions, then you realize it IS a lie.

The Post Office is Funded by Stamps and the other things they sell that go along with mailing things. Post Office Employees pay taxes. It is not a for profit service, that deliveries a need service, as our founders saw it to be. With your bs logic The Pentagon should pay taxes.

The POST OFFICE pays no taxes. Federal Express and UPS pay taxes. The Pentagon does not compete with other companies. If you gave all the subsidies to FEDEX and UPS they could deliver cheaper too.

The Post Office has not received one dime from the Govt since the 80s. What in god's name are you up to on this site, and god help what ever part of the country you live in! If there are more fools like you there, those communities are going to need all the help they can get.

You are so full of shit yours ears stink. I have illustrated with irrefutable facts that they have but you don't listen. I am SO glad you are not in this country anymore and that you will probably murder any children you might accidentally conceive.
