In fact, w/ a little pro editing & some fill-in narrative, I bet Laura could publish the SO thread!!! "Blunderites Unplugged"

To reach a state of nothingness is of course the goal of the Zen student, and when the Master asks of the student, "what are you thinking about" the correct answer is not "oh nothing" rather the correct answer is, Moo.........so it is in life, to think of nothing is to give life to nothing, only in thinking about not thinking about nothing can one truly see that there is nothing to think about, so think about this as you go about life doing nothing.

rooted as I am in Indo-European, western cuture, the vortex, the veritable eye, of a cinnamon roll, works, for me, Nathen...also, fellow students, notice how, in this and other posts, Nathen has slyly eluded to the close relationship, between Zen, "Wake Up, Dead" and, Selective Obliviosity....ism, a sly old gensing digger, that Nathen

The wonderful thing about Selective Obliviosity is that we can be oblivious to even our own philosophy if we chose to be.
It's not about un-learning. It's not about seeking nothing. It's about knowing, but chosing. It's about not knowing, but not caring. It's about caring, but not knowing. It's about finding clarity and answers wrapped in confusion, even if they don't exist to others.
It's also quite a wonderful thing to share confusion with your friends, but in moderation of course. Too much shared confusion can transform itself into a public school system or even a government if we are not aware to the degree we should be. It's all about fine lines then really...........

This concludes today's sermon. can I get a "Hail Homer"?!

I hereby promise, this is as much as I'm gonna think, today.......
This popped out, as I was posting, on the "which came First" thread.......

When confronted by life's constant repetitive drones, like commercials, ads, people ranting, about things that are clear, anyway, or, can't be changed, no matter what... the cure is, obviously, is selective obliviosity, so, here's a formula for relative sanity....:

Use selective obliviosity, as an antidote, for for generic obviosity

and, of course, true to Zen-style true-isms, the formula demonstrates, itself, as does this sentence..sorta
OK, I'm done now....

you are thinking too much about not thinking, perhaps you need me to write you a memo to remember to stop thinking about thinking.
