Post subject: The Song Lyric Game

This has been fun at some other message boards. This isn't an original idea; I stole it from somewhere, but the idea is that I'll start with a line from a song, & the next person comes along & posts a line from an entirely different song that rhymes with the previous line. Then said person will also post a line from yet another song, for which the next person will hafta come up with a rhyming line, etc. So, I might start with a line that's a favorite around here:

It's the 10th of January, & I still ain't had no sleep. ("Darkest Hour" - Arlo Guthrie)

The next person might post the following:

Pharoah's army got drownded, Oh, Mary, don't you weep. ("Oh, Mary, Don't You Weep" - traditional)

I go to bakeries all day long coz there's a lack of sweetness in my life. ("Hospital" - Modern Lovers)

Then the next person might post:

And they call him Mack the Knife ("Mack the Knife" - Bobby Darin)

And he would come up with another line, etc., etc.

Make sense?

Be sure to identify the song you're using. There's no restriction on where you get your song line, as long as it's a real song. So let's get 15 pages worth of song lines & make these moderators close this thread & earn the big moderators money!

Here's what I'll start it with:

I'm sitting on my watch so I can be on time. ("Bye and Bye" - Bob Dylan)
