Thanks for the kind comments. The photos were taken without a flash. (except for the Woody photo taken after the concert)I use a 35mm SLR with a 75-300mm zoom lens, 400 speed film and a shutter speed of 1/60 or 1/90 sec. I've been satisfied with the results so far.

It's the one most people get wrong.Don't feel bad. If NJ's Performing Arts had 1/2 a setlist as said, what in the hell did the lady want. Arlo to go home & sing her kids lullabuys. Or mad just cause he left all the stupid songs out????(Motorcycle song)

She reminded me of Furtherfest. It was absolutely the 'worst' time I've ever seen Arlo perform! It wasn't the setlist??? Altho he can leave out Alices anytime. He actually got allot of boos for doing that song! Over 1/2 the indoor audience just up & left!!!! To make things worse, some teen-age kids (second generation Dead-Heads) bragged to me how good he sounded the night before, doing the Ukealayly thing. But the night before some of the other musicians backed him on the musical parts.....All along the Watchtower is pretty ruff solo!!!! NTM, nobody (well that might be an over statement) laughed at his Bob Dylan imaginary story's!!!! (Either that or everyone had to piss at the same time, but how do you explain the boos)????

I'll admitt I was sorta dissapointed.. I would have liked Bruce Hornsby, but he seemed more conscience about his hair than he did entertaining. (Rolling stone gave Hornsby bad reviews by 'stealing' the show. He was more than glad to do double sets, when (Robinson)(Black Crowes) had a sore throat!!!!

I did enjoy the concert in whole, and it was fun playin frizby with Mickey Hart & Arlo, even if it were only seconds, as security saw that as a threat????? "Like take your hands off the frizby" and return to the other side of the fence!!!!

NTM: Arlo did lead an ALL SEVERANCE cast of musicians ending with a Woody song. 'Aint gonna be treated this way'.....Arlo reminding me of Willie's American Tribute, as they sang the chorus abundantly. Like they didn't want it to stop. That one song made the Arlo part worth it....

Rumor had it over 30,000 people showed up for this gig....Venue holding only 18,000. I can't remember which was more fun. Finding my car in the parking lot, or talking to some young people selling grocery store shrooms ???? In anycase I'll be forever glad I went. Driving 400 miles home with a head-ache...

Bring ear-plugs if you see the Black Crowes live! Never heard a louder band, in my life! Except maybe 'Hot Tuna' and that was in the early 70's. So no one really knew about hearing loss......Oh I did listen to the Who warm up in Montreal once? Sorta glad it was sold out (promototing Quadrophenia) As besides Entwhistle, I believe they're all deaf (or partially there of) these days.

Thanks for the setlist Ceas. I can relate to seeing setlist that are too ridgid. Just the time I believe they are, ARLO usually get's radical, and changes lots. I would like to see him ending his shows with 'Amazing Grace' again, but I'm sure he knows what he's doing! Well most of the time!

To you and to everyone else: thank you--after scribbling in the dark, it was a week and a half before I looked at the list again and I could not make sense of it, so I just posted what I think I wrote. The "instrumental" at the beginning of the Dillards' set is a number I have heard Sarah Lee and Johnny perform at a couple of their own shows - with Sarah Lee on acoustic guitar and Johnny on banjo.
Anyone know if this is a Dillards original?

I rememebr the Dillardsdid DOOLEY on an episode of the ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW as the Darlings family. I forget which episode it was offhand tho...
